GIPS 2010 Exposure Draft
View the GIPS 2010 Exposure Draft now and send in your comments. The
public comment period ends on 1 July 2009. This new version will be
effective 1 January 2011.
Webcasts
There are new webcasts available that
provide explanation of the proposed changes to the GIPS standards and
addressing the provisions that become effective in 2010. In addition,
there are several other webcasts available on various topics ranging from
short selling and risk to fixed income attribution.
New Greek Country Sponsor
The GIPS Executive Committee (EC) endorsed the Hellenic CFA Society as
the official Country
Sponsor of the GIPS standards for Greece. This endorsement marks the
31st country with an organization that sponsors and promotes the
Standards.
Save the Date: 2009 GIPS Annual Conference in
Boston
The GIPS Standards Annual Conference is scheduled for 22-23 September
2009 in Boston. Last year’s conference sold out and space is limited, so
register early. This year’s conference will cover key topics in the
performance measurement industry as well as a preview and implications of
the proposed changes to the Standards.
A GIPS Standards Interactive Workshop precedes the annual conference and
is scheduled for 21 September 2009 in Boston. The workshop will help
participants the requirements of the GIPS standards, including composite
construction, performance calculation, and the creation of a compliant
presentation. In order to help you get prepared for 2011, this workshop
will specifically include interactive discussion about the proposed
changes. Learn how your firm might be impacted and what the proposed
changes might mean for compliance.

Governance
The next GIPS in-person meetings will be held on 18 September 2009 at the
Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore. If you wish to attend as an Observer,
