GIPS Executive Committee Members 

The CFA Centre for Financial Market Integrity and the GIPS Nominations Committee are pleased to announce the GIPS Executive Committee Members. The GIPS Executive Committee will take over the functions of the IPC to be responsible for the development, maintenance and promotion of the GIPS standards. The Executive Committee is comprised of nine seats, the Director, four seats representing the key industry stakeholders of the GIPS standards and four representing the regions and Country Sponsors of GIPS. The members of the GIPS Executive Committee are as follows:

Revised Guidance Statements 

The Revised Guidance Statements are available on the CFA Centre website. Guidance Statements are developed to respond to questions and situations that are beyond the scope of the simple application of the Standards. The Revised Guidance Statements incorporate all previous interpretations and reflect the revisions to the GIPS standards.

GIPS Standards Workshops 

Mark your calendars, the CFA Centre has two upcoming workshops on the GIPS Standards:

 

  •   24 February 2006, New York
  •   5 April 2006, Los Angeles

 

 

GIPS workshops use a classroom approach with individual attention to help performance and compliance professionals master the Standards.  CFA Institute has partnered with experts from Deloitte, Ernst & Young, The Spaulding Group, and Vincent Performance Services LLC to facilitate a series of workshops that will provide practical insights on implementation and compliance issues and feature discussion of the future direction of the GIPS and AIMR-PPS standards.

GIPS Handbook 

The GIPS Handbook is scheduled to be released in mid-March. The Handbook provides detailed information on the Standards, including discussion of the interpretations on the Provisions and sample applications.  

 

Errata Sheet for the GIPS Standards 

An errata sheet, which contains minor corrections and edits to the GIPS standards, is available online.
