Register for the upcoming GIPS Executive Committee
Open Conference Call
The GIPS Executive Committee will hold an open conference call
meeting on Friday 29 January 2010 at 9:00 a.m. ET to review and approve
the 2010 version of the GIPS standards. If you would like to listen to
this conference call, please send an e-mail by Monday 25 January
and the conference call instructions will be provided. Another
announcement will be distributed when the meeting materials have been
posted on the GIPS standards website.

Hear!
The GIPS Standards European Conference will be held on 24-25
February 2010 in London and will offer the first opportunity to hear
directly from members of the GIPS Executive Committee about the details
of the 2010 version of the GIPS standards. Come hear about the changes
and the implications for asset management firms and have your questions
answered. Subject experts will share best practices on implementation and
application of the Standards as well as speak to the key issues and major

There is still space available at the upcoming GIPS standards interactive workshop on 11 March in Phoenix, Arizona. In addition to helping participants master the requirements of the GIPS standards, including composite construction, performance calculation, and the creation of a compliant presentation, this workshop will include specific discussions about the upcoming changes to the Standards. Call for Volunteers
The GIPS Nominations Committee is seeking volunteers to serve on
the GIPS Executive Committee. The GIPS Executive Committee is a
nine-member committee that serves as the decision-making authority for
the development, interpretation, and promotion the GIPS standards. The
GIPS Executive Committee is seeking nominees to serve as chair of the
Investment Manager Subcommittee and to represent that constituency within
the GIPS Executive Committee. Volunteers must have investment performance
measurement and/or evaluation experience, knowledge of the GIPS
standards, and the ability to represent the investment manager community
of the investment industry. The Investment Manager Subcommittee acts as a
forum for investment management firms regarding issues related to the
consistent application of the GIPS standards and the identification
issues that need further guidance and interpretation.
