GIPS Guidance Statement on Error Correction Approved
The GIPS Executive Committee is pleased to announce the release of the GIPS Guidance Statement on Error Correction (PDF). This Guidance Statement addresses errors related to GIPS compliant presentations and introduces new requirements and recommendations in this important area. This new guidance was recently adopted and is effective 1 January 2010. Firms are strongly encouraged to apply this guidance prior to the 1 January 2010 effective date. We also encourage all firms to read through the new document as soon as practical so as to allow enough time to implement any necessary changes.

conference sold out and space is limited, so register early.
A GIPS Standards Interactive Workshop in Boston precedes the annual conference and is scheduled for 24 September. The workshop will help participants master the requirements of the GIPS standards, including composite construction, performance calculation, and the creation of a compliant presentation.
