New Guidance Available for the GIPS® Standards
The GIPS Secretariat at CFA Institute is pleased to announce the adoption of the Guidance Statement on GIPS Performance Examinations by the GIPS Executive Committee at their meeting 30 October 2006. The effective date for the guidance is 31 December 2006. The adopting release for the Guidance Statement is available online.
This guidance provides the verification industry with procedures for conducting a Performance Examination should an investment firm choose to go beyond a firm-wide verification and have a further, more extensive, specifically-focused examination (or performance audit) of a specific composite and its presentation.
