What is the verifier’s responsibility with respect to the requirement that GIPS-compliant firms must notify CFA Institute of their claim of compliance with the GIPS standards annually by 30 June by submitting the GIPS Compliance Form which is available on the GIPS standards website?

The effective date of the requirement is 1 January 2015, with firms having until 30 June of each year to submit the GIPS Compliance Form. Verifiers need to test that the firm has met this requirement for verification reports dated on or after 1 July 2015.
